The main house has many original features including exposed stone walls and oak beams. The newly converted Snowdrop barn has the added benefit of its own utility supply and its heating system is run by air source heating. The barn would make an excellent holiday let or accommodation for a dependant relative, or could be split at some point in the future and sold separately.

Set back from the quiet road by a gravel driveway, Wayside gives the appearance of a fine country cottage. Behind the wide doorway the modern and contemporary design is breath taking.
4 large double bedrooms, one with ensuite, all have views to the magnificent fells of the Pennines and the view from one of the bedrooms can give a glimpse of the Lakeland Fells on a clear day.

The large and open kitchen diner has the largest of kitchen islands and is open to the expansive family room.

Gorgeous views of the enormous garden can be enjoyed from a purpose built undercover living area which is split on two levels and leads from the office/study space that divides the house from the barn.

The open plan kitchen diner has a fresh feel thanks to the modern kitchen and breakfast island.

There is a very cleverly designed utility room on the ground floor which leads into a downstairs WC. The doors have been made wider to accommodate a chair user should this be required. The utility room has been plumbed for a washing machine.

The lounge is the perfect place to admire the garden and a beautiful exposed stone wall gives the modern room a touch of character and is an original feature.

The upper floor is bright thanks to the two Velux windows and the two bedrooms are both double and give delightful views of the garden. They are both framed with gorgeous oak beams that are original to the barn.

The bathroom is large with a double shower and has a very contemporary feel thanks to the modern fittings.
The barn's air source heat pump is housed in a purpose built cupboard and useful shelving for storage has been fitted next to the airing cupboard.
